“Each Camera Look actually changes how the image is processed, which is similar to how different film simulations on Fujifilm cameras work, like the X100VI that I reviewed.”

Sony A7 III

Sony A7 V

“Well, after spending 6 months with a $5,000 Sony A7 V camera plus lens and comparing it to my iPhone and Android phones, your phone actually has a lot more advantages than you might think.”

“There are also dedicated macro lenses like the 90mm we use here on the channel.”

“And here's the one that I've been traveling with from this video's sponsor, tomtoc.”

“Generally, I think most people are just better off using their iPhone as a webcam with a little mount like this one I got from Belkin.”

“And by the way, if you're looking to upgrade your on-camera audio for the S26 Ultra, this part was recorded with the Lark M3 from Hollyland, this video's sponsor.”

“And when you trigger the assistant hands-free while you have another Gemini device in your home, like the new Google Home speaker in my office, thankfully, both will not answer your question.”

“You'd be better off saving the money that you'd spend on the Air to just buy a good set of desk speakers, like the LSX II LT from KEF that I got from Costco earlier this year. And man, those speakers, they still knock me out of my seat.”

“It's been 6 months since I bought these Sony WF-1000XM6 earbuds, but in a world where the competition from Samsung and Apple has just gotten a lot better in recent years, 6 Months Later, why would you get these over the competition?”

“And after trying this out with my other buds and Android phones like my Pixel Buds Pro 2 and my Pixel 11 Pro XL, it did not work there either.”

Logic Pro

“And with the M5 MacBook Air, I've had no problem editing 4K video or having a ton of tracks in Logic Pro on this thing.”

“Gemini does not have access to my messages or contacts for surfacing information, at least at the time of recording, when I've tried this several times.”

Siri

“Here are just a few things that I've used it for that I'd never use old Siri for.”

Apple Pages

strongly positive

“Apple Pages, by the way, is a Mac app that I found myself using a lot more recently.”

Google Docs

“But in my everyday use with these two laptops, writing in Google Docs, using Claude, editing my website, I really haven't felt that gap.”

“Any music used is licensed from artlist.io”

Mac Studio

$2,449.00 · cited in 2 videos

“But the thing that's even more impressive is I was able to take my SSDs from my Mac Studio, plug them into my M5 MacBook Air, and have it play through my timeline with no stutters or glitches.”

iPad

$449.00 · positive

“And then one other small benefit of going with an iPad Air over a MacBook Neo that I found is in the smaller configuration, the 11-inch model here that I have, it feels just slightly more portable uh when you close it up and put it into a bag than the MacBook Neo does.”

“It's been 6 months since I bought an M5 MacBook Air.”

“The MacBook Neo lineup features bolder colors, especially the citrus color I got.”

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra

“I've spent 6 months now with the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, and now that it's been a few weeks since the Pixel 11 Pro XL came out, I wanted to put these phones head-to-head and give you my thoughts on how they stack up and if there's really any way the Pixel could be considered an equivalent flagship.”

“And probably for me, the best thing about macOS recently is because it's more open than Apple's other software programs, you can do things like vibe code your own programs and run them directly on macOS, which I have done a lot to help speed up specific workflows for my business, but also for my personal use.”

“I would rather spend that money on a MacBook Neo plus a reMarkable Paper Pure, reMarkable's latest writing tablet, which the company sent me and I'm currently reviewing.”
